WELCOME
Let’s review! Leader go through each symbol so far and what it means:
The Heart – God Loves You
Divide – Sin Separates You
The Cross – Jesus Rescues You
And last – the Question Mark – Will you trust Jesus?
Listen to this week’s verse: “See! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.” – Revelation 3:20
This verse shows us we have a choice – will we answer the door or not?
WARM-UP
Play Rock-Paper-Scissors. Have two captains who choose teams and then have players from opposite teams face off until one team is eliminated.
WORKOUT
Being chosen for a team feels really good, doesn’t it? When you are on a team you want to work hard to be the best teammate you can be. When you choose to trust Jesus, you are committing to following Him and His plans through the wins and the losses and the highs and the lows. You choose to trust Jesus when you believe in your heart and confess that Jesus is Lord – that He died on the cross and rose to life again.
So, are you ready to place your trust in Jesus? You can do that through prayer. Prayer is talking with God. God knows your heart so don’t worry about the words. You can pray something like this:
“Dear God, thank You for loving me and wanting the best for my life. I have lived my life for myself and done things my way, and I am truly sorry. Jesus, I believe that You are God and have forgiven all my sins by dying and coming back to life again for me. I trust You and ask You to be Lord of my life. I surrender my life to You. You are my God, my Savior and my Lord. Let me experience Your love and Your good plans for my life! Amen.”
WRAP-UP
Choosing to be on Team Jesus is the best choice we can make! If you made that choice today, welcome to the team! If you still have questions or are unsure, I encourage you to ask questions and listen closely to Huddle times.
(pray and break the Huddle)
