Warm-Up
What is our first truth? I was made on purpose and for a purpose!
What is our second truth? I can trust God and His Word!
Today we finish learning about our third truth: God loves me and sent Jesus for me!
Raise your hand if you have ever seen The Lion King. Do you remember what Mufasa did? When
Simba was stuck in a trap, he sacrificed himself to save Simba. Why do you think he did this?
“If you confess with your mouth ‘Jesus is Lord’, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” – Romans 10:9
Workout
Want to know a little secret? The Lion King stole that story from God’s Word.
God loves you and has sent Jesus.
Last week we learned about two of the symbols on your bracelet.
What is the heart? God loves us
What is the divide? Sin separates us
Remember I told you we would find out what God did that showed how big His love really was?
Just like we see Mufasa run to Simba, God ran to us. He saw that sin separated us from Him and He didn’t like that. God sent Jesus for us. He sent Jesus into the trap we were stuck in – SIN. He took the punishment for our sins.
Let’s read Romans 5:8 together: “But God proves his own love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
Remember what we said last week? Sin separates us from God and that separation leads to death.
But we have the cross symbol. This is why God sent Jesus to take on our sin so we could be with God again. But unlike the Disney movie, Jesus did not remain dead. He rose three days later and beat death.
The Bible tell us, “If you confess with your mouth ‘Jesus is Lord’, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” – Romans 10:9. We can shout that we trust Jesus. Remember our trust fall with God? We can do it with Jesus. He is the same as God; He will not fail us.
If we trust that Jesus has saved us from our sins, we become a part of God’s family forever!
So last we have the question mark: Are you ready to trust Jesus?
Wrap-Up
What we talked about the past two weeks can change your life! If you have never surrendered your life to Jesus, talk to your coach or trusted teammate to learn how to become a Christian.
Let’s take a moment to close our Huddle Time in prayer: “Dear God, I believe that You sent Jesus to die for my sins and that You raised Him back to life again. I want You to be Lord of my life. Help me tosurrender to You. Amen.”
Let’s break Huddle with our hands in. Shout “Trust Jesus” on three. 1-2-3…
