Week 10

God’s Game Plan

Coach’s Devotional

“But grow in grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity.” – 2 Peter 3:18

Every sport has fundamentals and once athletes master them the game flows better. Coaches drill these fundamentals over and over again until our athletes master them. Over the last few weeks, you have learned three fundamental truths and two vital actions that make up God’s Game Plan.  Equipped with these fundamentals, life will flow better; not easy but with a confidence that God has a plan.

Truth One: You were made on purpose for a purpose.

Truth Two: You can trust God and His Word.

Truth Three: God loves you and sent Jesus.

Action: Love God and love others.

The season may be wrapping up, but this is just the beginning. If you allow these truths to sink into your heart—you will be transformed. Your players will never play the same way. And you will never coach the same way again.

God is doing a great work in you to grow in your relationship with Him. This is the discipleship journey. So where do you go from here? There so many more X’s and O’s found in God’s Word. All we need to do is open the Bible and start reading.

Go live out God’s calling for your life, to become more like Jesus.

  1. What is a truth you will remember from this season?
  1. What action steps will you take to live out God’s call on your life?

Jeremiah 29:11-12; John 3:16; 2 Timothy 3:16

“Dear God, thank You for placing me in FCA Sports and in front of these young athletes. Thank You for equipping me with Your Word and the Holy Spirit. Help me to continue carrying out Your great plan for my life. I love You, Amen.”
