Warm-Up
“‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ – this is the Lord’s declaration – ‘plans for your well – being, not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.’” – Jeremiah 29:11
This is the first week of our team meetings! Let’s kick it off with an activity!
Gather up in a circle, and one at a time, say your name and one goal you have for the season (ex. grow in my sport, talk to God through prayer every day, etc.)
Workout
Let’s think about those answers. How will you reach those goals?
If you just think them, will they magically happen?
If you say them out loud, will they happen ?
Or will you actually have to do something and make plans to reach your goals?
Right! To reach your goals, you need a game plan to help you with your goals. Every great coach has a game plan, and every great athlete follows it.
But did you know that God, the Creator of the universe, has a game plan specific for your life as well?
The best part is that He’s already put it in front of you in His Word, the Bible. He wrote clear truths and guidance for all of us! How amazing is that? Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us that God has plans just for us, and they are good plans!
Over the next few weeks, we will dive into God’s Game Plan. It will be an amazing time to learn more about the Bible truths as a team and see how God’s game plan helps us win each day in our lives.
Wrap-Up
“Dear God, thank You for giving us this time together. Show us and lead us through Your perfect game plan. Thank You for writing it for us. Amen.”
