The FOUR Coach’s Devo 9

“See! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.” – Revelation 3:20.

I chose to be a coach. I wasn’t forced or coerced. It is something that has brought me tremendous joy and growth as a believer. Investing in the lives of athletes is a calling God placed on my life. One I said yes to. How about you? Did you choose coaching? Or were you volun-told?

I also chose to follow Jesus as my Lord and Savior. I opened the door referenced in Revelation 3:20 and my life has never been the same. How about you? Have you opened the door? Consider your testimony, the story of your life before Jesus and now after accepting His gift of salvation. It is incredible, isn’t it? The ways He has worked in your life to get you to this exact moment. When I look at all the little and big ways He has worked in my life to get me to this exact moment, I am nearly overcome with emotion. I encourage you to consider sharing your testimony during Huddle before the end of the season.

In today’s Huddle, the final question is up to your athletes to answer. It is not up to you or their parents. It is up to them whether they answer God’s knocking at the door of their heart. Pray over that time for you and your athletes.

What is your testimony? Have you ever shared it with anyone? If not consider doing so.

What led you to coaching? How has it changed your life?

Romans 10:9-10; John 1:12; Ephesians 2:8-9

“Lord, You have done amazing things in my life. Embolden me to share them with others. Prepare me for today’s Huddle. Be with me and give me answers to questions that may be asked. In all of it, please don’t let me be a distraction from the truth of Your Gospel. Thank You for this team and the Huddle time we have had. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
