Ready:
“Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember I am with you always, to the end of the age.” – Matthew 28:19-20
Set:
How is your core? A quick search of the internet reveals the numerous benefits of a strong core. Enhanced balance and coordination, improved athletic performance, decreased back pain, decreased risk of falls just to name a few.
Knowing there are so many benefits to building a core one would think we would all work on our core but that does not seem to be the case. Planks, sit-ups and crunches are easily skipped in my workout rotations. There is a disconnect between knowing the benefit and putting in the work.
Our Spiritual lives have a core as well. And it is just as important as our bodily core. With a strong spiritual core, we are equipped to grow in relationship with God and endure the hills and valleys of life.
This season we will walk through 8 essentials to strengthening our faith and the faith of our athletes. Huddle time will be a time to dive into each concept, share together and pray.
Are you ready to strengthen your core?
Go:
Do an evaluation of your spiritual core? How well are you doing at growing in your relationship with God?
What is one aspect of Huddle you are looking forward to? One you need encouragement on?
Workout:
John 17: 3; John 15:5
Overtime:
“Heavenly Father, give me the strength and dedication to build a solid core found in You. Grow my heart for you and guide me as I guide the team this season. In Your name, amen.”
