WELCOME
“And may the Lord cause you to increase and overflow with love for one another and for everyone, just as we do for you.” —1 Thessalonians 3:12
Hey everyone! Last week we talked about being bold to show our faith with others. This week, we will look at how that boldness can help us tell others about Jesus.
WARM-UP
For Warm-Up today, everyone is to find a partner and you will share one fact about yourself with that partner. Then we will come back as a group and each person will share that fact about their partner. (Coach share facts about yourself afterwards).
WORKOUT
Last week, we read in Acts chapter 3 about Peter and John healing a man who could not walk. After that healing, the crowd came over to the men and Peter started to tell them about Jesus.
In Chapter 4, while they were still speaking, Peter and John were arrested for speaking about Jesus. But what they said had an impact.
“But many of those who heard the message believed, and the number of the men came to about five thousand.” —Acts 4:4
Faith in Jesus made Peter and John bold enough to share Jesus with those who listened. Sharing Jesus with someone else is one of the most important things we can do and should do.
GO SHARE
The next day, those who arrested Peter and John asked questions. But they took the chance to speak AGAIN about Jesus!
“When they observed the boldness of peter and john and realized that they were uneducated and untrained men, they really were amazed and recognized that they had been with Jesus. And since they saw the man who had been healed standing with them, they had nothing to say in opposition.” —Acts 4:13–14
Peter and John wanted so much to share Jesus with everyone, that they spoke about Jesus to the very people that arrested them! That takes some boldness!
WRAP-UP
Sharing Jesus can be hard, but it is so worth it. If we share with someone else, that person might follow Jesus too.
This week don’t just pray to be bold but pray for a chance to talk to someone else about Jesus.
Pray and break the huddle
