WARM-UP
We’ve talked this season about choosing to love others and sharing our faith with them. We talked about being in Jesus’ team and learning His commands. Last week we learned that there is another team, Satan’s team, and they absolutely do not like Jesus’ team.
Let’s play a quick game of Arm Hockey. Form a circle, your arm is your hockey stick, shoot the ball between anyone’s legs and they are out and the circle shrinks.
Was anyone on your team? How did it feel when you got out?
Knowing we have teammates in others who are on Jesus’ team should bring us comfort.
“My father is glorified by this: that you produce much fruit and prove to be my disciples.” – John 15:8

Q: What are some benefits of good teammates?
Q: Someone tell about a time someone on this team was a good teammate.
Having good teammates makes all the difference to the entire team. It makes all the time we spend together more enjoyable. It makes winning easier when everyone is playing as a team against the opponent.
Being a Christian is hard because there will always be an opposing team to play. Not everyone you know will chose to join Jesus’ team. Friends might discourage you from trying to do things God’s way. They might call you names for not joining in on making fun of someone else. But, when we stick close to the Coach (Jesus) and listen and do exactly as He says, we win at life and play well.
And the best thing is, we don’t have to play the game alone. Being on Jesus’ team, we have a world full of fellow believers who are on our team. We might feel alone during the hard moments, but all we have to do is keep our eyes on the Coach and look next to us to see our fellow believers – our teammates. We are not alone!
Q: What is the most intense moment in a game you’ve ever experienced in a game? How did your team handle it?
During the rough moments of a game, our coach tells us what to do. In life, we take those hard moments to Jesus, the perfect Coach, and let Him protect us. We stay committed to what He says even during the rough parts of life and when we do that, we don’t have to be afraid. We can live and play fully and joyfully!
WRAP-UP
When we feel alone, like the opposing team is going to win, we just have to look to Jesus and our teammates on His team.
