Setup- You will need a tee and a batting cage or hitting net.
Movement- The hitter will start in an upright position, with his feet approximately shoulder-width apart. The hitter will take a step back and load into his back leg while lifting his front leg. After loading into the back leg and establishing balance, the hitter will drive through the baseball, and take a full swing.
Key Focus Points- The purpose of this drill is to allow the hitter to load into the back leg and experience weight transfer as they are swinging through the baseball. It also will create rhythm and balance within the swing itself.
