Step and Throw

Set Up: 

Players should pair up and face each other (approx 30-60 feet apart) with gloves and one ball for each pair.    

Coaches should stand to the side and evaluate. 

Movement: 

On the whistle/command throwers should bring the ball to the throwing position, blade their body, step with their opposing leg towards the target and throw the ball to their partner. 

Key Focus Points: 

Shifting of weight from the back leg to the front leg is key in this drill. This adds strength to the throw.
