Stationary Shooting

Set up: Players will form two lines marked by cones in front of the basket.  Lines should be at the right and left lines of the lane.  The first person in each line will have a basketball and will alternate taking a shot.

Movement: Players will take turns taking a shot using the BEEF technique.  Coaches should rebound the ball and feed it back to the players taking the shot.  After 3 to 5 shots, the shooting player should move to the back of the other line as their teammate behind them will now be the shooter.   Cones can be moved to different spots after each round.

Key Focus Points: Focus on the BEEF technique.  Balance; Eyes; Elbow; Follow through.  Encourage younger players to use their legs for power as the shoot up towards the basket.
