Point of Contact

Set Up:

This drill uses a tee to hold the ball with a fence/net to hit into.  Coach will load the ball on the tee and evaluate through several reps prior to moving to the next batter.

Movement:

From the power V stance players should swing the bat stopping at point of contact with the ball. Players and coaches should evaluate if the core part of the bat is hitting the ball and make adjustments. Hands should be slightly above the ball at point of contact.

Key Focus Points:

Ensure the elbow is bent a 90 degree at point of contact.
