Passes from Shooting Pocket

Set up: Players will grab a partner and a ball and line up across from their partner with 10’-15’ of space between them.

Movement: During their turn each player will assume the triple threat position. For triple threat players should have their feet shoulder width apart, be balanced, with a slight bend in their knees, ball will be in their shooting pocket (just above the waist on either side, close to their body).  Players will then practice making one handed chest passes and bounces passes out of their triple threat positions. They will step the direction of their teammate with the foot that is on the same side as their ball. As the progress they can step with the opposite foot, and practice stepping around a defender to make their pass.

Key Focus Points: Maintain proper triple threat position before and after receiving the pass. Stepping into the pass, and throwing accurate passes with both hands.
