Jump Stop

Set Up: Players should spread out across the baseline or sideline.  They will move either up the court or across the court to the next line (either half court or sideline).

Movement: On the whistle, players will jog ¾ speed.  When the whistle blows again, they are to perform a jump stop and pause.  When the coach feels everyone has performed the jump stop correctly, he blows the whistle again to begin jogging.  Repeat this process up and down the court several times.

Key Focus Point: Stick the landing!  Land on both feet in a good athletic position.  Don’t let momentum require an additional step.
