Setup- You will need a cone for the fielder to start at.
Movement- The fielder will start at the cone. After going through their pre-pitch routine, they will work on taking drop steps both ways. The drill can be done without balls at first and then a coach can add in throwing balls to hit the fielders in stride.
Key Focus Points- The focus is getting a good jump on the ball and getting to the spot to make the catch while running at full speed.
