Break Downs

SET UP

Players spread out in front of the coach facing him.

MOVEMENT

Players run half-speed toward the coach. On the command break down, players should come to a good break-down position using proper technique.

KEY FOCUS POINTS

Proper break-down position involves:

  • Feet shoulders width apart.
  • Knees bent, arms slightly out.
  • “Buzz” feet, keeping them active and ready to move in any direction.
