Set up:
Players should form a line on the foul line facing towards Center field. Players should have about 20 feet between them.
Coaches should work down the line throwing balls up to the right and left of players while evaluating footwork.
Movement:
Players should blade to whichever side the ball is thrown then circle forward and field the pop up without pushing the glove. Throw ball back to the coach.
Key Focus Points:
Ensure players blade with a step back to the side that the ball is thrown. Once in position ensure they move towards home plate so they can field the ball coming forward.
