Backhand Drill

Setup- Four baseballs lined up on the ground. 

Movement- The fielder will get into a backhanded position while getting low to the ground. He will work on simulating fielding through the ball while shifting his weight forward. The outside of the fielder’s glove should move parallel to the line of the baseballs on the ground. 

Key Focus Points- The focus of this drill is to work on staying low and to simulate fielding through the ball by experiencing weight shift from the back leg to the front.
