Set up: 8 players positioned on the perimeter of a half court. One at each corner and one player in the middle of each endline. There will be two balls in play during drill. Player 1 will start with a ball at his position under the basket and Player 2 will start with a ball on the half court line directly across from Player 1.
Movement: On whistle, players with the ball will pass the ball to the player to their right, then sprint to switch positions with the player lined up directly across the court from them. Run drill for a complete round. Then, start over by passing to the left. This is a great conditioning drill that incorporates passing skill development. Younger players may need to move in on the court using cones for positions.
Key Focus Points: Swinging quickly and playing with pace. Passing and catching cleanly.
