Connect and Cultivate Wrap-Up

Find a teammate and tell them two good things about this season.

Find another teammate and tell them one thing you learned about (sport) this season.

Find another teammate and tell the one thing you learned about Jesus or God this season.

We have learned a lot together this season. Who thinks they have gotten better at (sport)? I agree. I have seen growth and improvement in all of you.

More importantly, who thinks they have grown closer in connection with Jesus this season? That is my prayer for you. That you will connect with Jesus and cultivate a relationship with Him.

Let’s review a few important things.

  1. We need to be connected to Jesus to produce fruit.
  1. If you aren’t sure about your connection to Jesus please talk to me or another coach
  1. Fruit is produced through Jesus, not us.
  1. When we spend time in the Bible we learn and grow and that is how we produce fruit
  1. Pruning helps us produce more fruit
  1. There are things God might ask us to give up or change but it is only so we can produce more fruit.
  1. To cultivate or grow in relationship with Jesus we need to spend time with Him in the Bible and prayer.

“I am the vine; you are the branches. The one who remains in me and I in him produces much fruit, because you can do nothing without me.” – John 15:5

  1. We have a role and Jesus has a role.
  1. Jesus supplies what we need. We need to remain or stay connected to Him.

It has been so amazing learning and growing with you each week. When we remain in Jesus and have fruit of the Spirit in our lives we are proven as disciples.

Let’s pray!

“Lord, thank You that we can be proven to be disciples. Thank You that You want us on Your team and have given us a way to be connected to You. Help us cultivate our relationship with You. Prune the parts that are not fruitful. Give us hearts to be in the Bible and to pray each day. We are grateful for this team and our teammates and all that You have taught us this season. We love You! In Jesus’ name, amen.”

Last time, let’s break Huddle. Hands in! 1-2-3- Proven!
