Week 7: God Sent JESUS For me

Warm-Up

Let’s review God’s Game Plan:
Let’s review what we have learned so far about God’s Game Plan:
God made you on__________ for a __________ (purpose)
I can ________ God and His _______(trust, word)
God ______ me (loves)
Today we will learn the best truth. Not only does God love you but He sent Jesus for you.
“But God proves his own love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
Romans 5:8

Last week, we talked about how God Loves Me. Even though each of us were born with sin and don’t deserve His love, God still cared enough to give us a way to have eternal life.

I’m going to pass out bracelets that will help you remember the Bible’s truths found in something we call “The FOUR.”

There are four icons that surround the bracelet:

  • The heart will help you remember that, “God Loves You.”
  • The division sign will help you remember that, “Sin Separates You.”
  • The cross will help you remember that, “Jesus Rescues You.”
  • The question mark is there to ask, “Will You Trust Him?”

When I point to each icon, say the words that go with each picture. Each time, say it louder!

Workout

At times during a game, you might make a bad play. In those moments, you might need someone to rescue you. That’s when your coaches and teammates are supposed to step in and give you a helping hand.

But in life, we have someone who is better than even the best coaches and teammates. We have Jesus Christ! He will always rescue us. Because of God’s great love, He sent His Son to give His life for us. Jesus died on the cross and took the punishment for our sins. Once we accept that Jesus has saved us, we can trust Him with everything in our lives.

Romans 10:9 says, “If you confess with your mouth ‘Jesus is Lord’, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”

If we trust that Jesus has saved us from our sins, we become a part of God’s family forever! The Bible tells us, “ But to all who did receive him, he gave them the right to be children of God, to those who believe in his name.– John 1:12

Are you ready to trust Jesus?

Wrap-Up

If so, let’s pray this prayer together :
“Dear God, thank You for loving me and wanting the best for my life. I have lived my life for myself and done things my way, and I am truly sorry.
Jesus, I believe that you are God and have forgiven all my sins by dying and coming back to life again forme. I trust You and ask You to be Lord of my life. I surrender my life to You. You are my God, my Savior and my Lord. Let me experience Your love and Your good plans for my life! Amen.”
